A delegation from the Costa del Sol has participated in a workshop in Russia to promote the area to major Russian tour operators.
Some 70 Russian travel agents attended and showcased many tourist organisations in Spain detailing the various holiday destinations up and down the coast.
It is believed the the conference has strengthened Malaga’s position and an increase in tourism is expected as a result. Russia itself will be promoting the Costa del SOl in more trade fairs and conferences, which has already included the MITT meeting attended by 1,750 tour operators.
There is expected to be significant growth in tourism from Russia to support the increase in property purchases by Russian citizens.
