Information Guide To Marbella
Marbella is probably one of Europe’s most well know tourist destinations and was once the first choice holiday resort for the rich and famous back in the 60’s with actors like Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn, royalty like the Saudi royal family and many other well know stars of stage, screen and sports heading to the resort for their holidays.
Over the years Marbella has grown in size from just a town to a municipality so that it now covers quite a large geographical area and incorporates a number of smaller resorts and towns that all fall within the Marbella postal district.
The Main Marbella Towns & Resorts
Cabopino
La Chapas
Elviria
El Rosario
Los Monteros
Rio Real
Puerto Banus
Nueva Andalucia
San Pedro de Alcantara
Guadalmina
Being one of the most important holiday resorts and business centres on the Costa del Sol it is no wonder that there is so much to do in the area. The beaches are some of the best on the Costa del Sol and there is no shortage of restaurants, bars and shops.
Shopping in Marbella
Apart from the luxury marina of Puerto Banus, the main commercial centre in Marbella is La Cañada. This is a large shopping centre with many of the usual Spanish high street names such as Massimo Dutti, Zara, and Mango as well as some names no longer seen on the UK high streets like C&A. There are also designer boutiques, furniture shops, shoe shops and even an M & S
If strolling along the streets outside in the sunshine is more your thing then the shopping in Marbella centro or the old town is better. Again, all the usual high street names are there along with a number of designer boutiques and independent shops.
Marbella Beach Clubs
Being one of the most popular destinations on the Costa del Sol there are a lot of amazing beach clubs to choose from. Nikki Beach is located in the resort of Elviria and they have now made it their European HQ.
Other beach clubs to look out for in Marbella include The Beach House, Trocaderos, Playa Padre, Ocean Club Marbella and La Sala by the Sea.
