Benalmadena is located about 20 minutes drive from Malaga Airport and is split into two main parts. The upper section is accessible just off of the main AP7 / N340 motorway is known as Benalmadena Pueblo or Benalmadena Village.

The other section is the real tourist area and holiday destination and is known as Benalmadena Costa.
